THE BIO BIT . Story Matters ...so here's mine. This wasn't how it was supposed to turn out. ​ I 'knew' I was a man of science, logic, and calculation back when I gained my Aerospace Engineering degree. It took years for me to admit I was a deeply closeted writer. ​ After graduating I became a management consultant, then a marketing consultant, then a freelance photographer and then ran my own corporate film making business. ​ I told other people's stories for seven years but after a life-altering step into parenthood I had to reassess and accept my time was now limited. So, I left the business I’d built to became a stay-at-home dad and start again. I refocused my skills as a writer of my most-loved topics: aviation, adventure and extreme sports. My work can be seen online and in print for clients such as Red Bull and Cross Country Magazine – working as one of Cross Country's News Editors and freelance contributors. ​ When I'm not working, I'll either be speed flying or paragliding. Adrenalin sports and aviation are my go-to happy places, so writing about them is an awesome fit for me. This wasn't how it was supposed to turn out. However, my chaotic career path of cul-de-sacs, wrong turns and scenic detours has given me a unique set of skills and perspectives: A variety of experiences that make me the writer I am.
