I sourced and reported a story about a new race format launching in the US: Speedmo. Racing up and flying down a hill on fast, agile wings.

I interviewed the race founder, as well as a range of competing pilots, and discovered a close community wanting to see if speedflying could be more than just a day out. The founder had self-funded the first events at the cost of around $800. But his passion continued and he began to attract funding and sponsors.

They clearly had ambition and even offered a challenge to the pilots across the pond: "Europe, we're coming"
