I took on the role as one of Cross Country Magazine's News Editors at the end of 2023. My responsibilities included finding and writing news stories for the magazine website; sourcing and performing interviews for featuring in the print magazine; attending events for later write-up; sub-editing copy for both print and online; creating "News In Brief" (NIBs) copy from relentless press releases.
It provided me with an insight into how a magazine is run, and how to work in an online news environment.
