Superfinal Assignment | Spain

Myself and a photographer were sent to Spain on assignment for five days. We were to report on the PWC Superfinal and gather interviews and contacts for other features and profiles.

I spoke to World Champions, national team leaders, pilots, and organisation representatives while being hosted in Pegalajar.

On one of the days, we followed the coaches of competitors by car, were packed into an off-road van, driven up a dirt track, and hiked to a remote launch site with the Sierra Nevada mountains as a backdrop.

This piece was picked up by Cross Country Magazine and is an interview with the overall winners, Andy Tallia and Constance Mettetal. The two pilots revealed what happens during the French team briefings, giving us an insight into how they became such a dominant nation in paragliding.
