BAREFOOT RUNNING



I've worn barefoot shoes for several years now. Not just for running, but for every day use. At the same time, I've been a runner. Although I took a 'break' from running for a few years after we had kids (they take up a lot of time and energy) I've been getting back into it.


It took a few weeks for my legs to get used to the barefoot running -- calf tightness... crippling tightness! But now, with these gorgeous barefoot running shoes, I'm really loving it. My pace is starting to improve, too.


With the second wave of lockdown, it's getting harder to stay in shape. So having a regular routine for getting some exercise is even more important to me. If I don't keep my energy up, I have a really terrible time and begin to spiral down.

These shoes make me want to go for a run

Waking up at 4:30AM can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. Especially if the night before was a little rough. But, when it's a running day, I slip these on and head out into the darkness and the cold with a smile -- usually an inner smile, but a smile non-the-less.


Finding the joy in things that are also good for you seems to be a benificial thing to do. And these shoes help me find that joy.
